The day for which all Apple fans wait for the whole year is upon us. Yes, you guessed right, it’s the launch day of Apple new flagship and high-end device; the iPhone 8. It does not matter who you are or what you do, this day brings everyone to one place, and that is the Apple Store.
Just after some hours the new iPhone 8 is going to be unveiled. Just like every year, this year’s iPhone will going to be equipped with more features than previous ones. The phone will be equipped with a better camera, IOS, design, and more battery capacity.
The launch of iPhone 8 is expected to take place today (September 12) at an event in California. Tim Cook, the Chief Executive Officer of Apple, will be unveiling the iPhone 8. The Company sent invitations out to journalists in August. Apple invited them to an event at its new Apple Park headquarters at 6 pm UK time and 10 pm Pacific time. Okay so enough about its reveal, let’s take a look at iPhone 8’s expected specifications.
Expected iPhone 8 Specifications:
The new iPhone 8 is expected to have 5.8 inches 2.5D OLED edge-to-edge display, so in terms of screen size it will be bigger than iPhone 7 plus.
The company is for the first time in its history launching an iPhone with an ‘all-glass’ construction. This new concept is one of the many factors to try out this phone and feel the shiny glass instead of metal in your hands. On the other hand, Apple is finally getting rid of its signature home button and will replace it with a complete touch button.
Just like its ancestors, the iPhone 8 is also going to have the wireless charging support.
The phone is expected to have an Apple A11 chipset, which is entirely going to be better than iPhone 7’s A10.
Regarding Camera, the phone is going to have a dual rear camera, but unlike iPhone 7 series, the camera will be in vertical style. The front camera will support Face scanning with 3d features. The camera may also support augmented reality too.
Just like every new release, the iPhone 8 is going to release with latest IOS 11 with improved Siri and P2P payments.
The phone is going to have a Support for LTE speeds up to 450Mbps.
Rumors about new Facial Recognition:
According to the Korea Herald on 23/8/17 The iPhone 8 will have a Facial recognition system which will be the handset’s “crown jewel.” According to the report, this tech will be so fast that it will work in just a few hundred milliseconds. This tech is going to replace Apple touch ID sensor.
Another rumor has surfaced that iPhone 8 is going to ditch its touch ID sensor in favor of Facial recognition. Mehdi Hosseini of Susquehanna Financial Group told Barron’s Asia that Apple is going to plant fingerprint sensor beneath the glass surface. This is maybe because of problems with its “controller” chip.
Price of the iPhone 8:
Apple has been consistent with its prices every year. Each year Apple has higher prices for its new phones, but on the other hand, Apple also provides high-end technology in its phones. Those high-end features are always worth the prices. If you are going to get a next gen phone, you got to spend money accordingly. According to rumors, it has come to light that this year’s iPhone 8’s variants will be touching 1000$ and beyond.
The Twitter tipster Benjamin Geskin has claimed that iPhone 8 will enter the market with a price of 999 dollars for its 64gb variant which is around £775. While 256GB option will be around 1,099 dollars or £850 and the 512GB variant is expected to have a price of 1,199 dollars or £930.
Even though these specs and prices are not final because Apple has neither confirmed nor denied them. But we have a good idea that some of these rumors are going to be true. Apple has always surprised its fans with latest high-end features. So there is a pretty good chance that Apple is going to add features mentioned above (fingers crossed).
