Apple, the name when said, a green or perhaps red colored fruit is not what comes to our minds first, A high tech flagship mobile is what lingers in our imagination. The reason is the dominance of iPhone over the cell phone industry.
Granted that it is also dominant in terms of higher prices, but it is expensive for a reason. Apple has always kept its end of the bargain, which is to deliver most advanced and latest technology.
We all can agree that whether we buy iPhone or not, we all watch its new phones’ specs and we do that because we know, if there is something advanced and futuristic coming this year, then it is Apple’s new iPhones, namely iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X.
Apple has launched two new smart phones at an event in California on September 12th, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Like always, this year too, Apple has shown consistency with its slogan “Think Differently” by introducing some “out of the box” technology in its phones.
“Our intention always has to create something so magical, powerful, that the hardware virtually disappears,” said Tim Cook at the launch.

Processor and GPU:
Although Apple has not shared how much RAM will be installed in iPhone 8, 8 plus and iPhone X but it has given information about its new Processor and GPU.
The new iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X are equipped with A11 Bionic Chipset from Apple. It is a six core processor which runs 25 percent faster than its previous version the A10 version which was embedded in iPhone 7 plus. In terms of GPU, Apple has designed its own GPU which will be 30 percent faster than the previous one.
Unlocking the Device (FaceID)
This is another field where there is no change in iPhone 8 and 8 Plus from the previous generation iPhone 7 and 7 plus.
However, on iPhone X, FaceID will replace the biometric TouchID fingerprint reader. This “As per Apple” is going to make it virtually impossible to hack your phone by ordinary means.
Unlocking the device with FaceID involves infrared tech that even operates in the low light area as compared to other smartphones.
New Operating System
Apple has introduced it’s IOS 11 which is much better than its previous version the IOS 10.
This version which has some revolutionary features, The new IOS 11 will be equipped with ARKit which is Apples ‘s version of Augmented reality, although Apple has not talked openly about what ARKit is all about, it has hinted that it will be making iPhone 8,8 Plus and iPhone X the first augmented reality smart phones.
Camera And Video:
Apple has gone with its same tested and tried 12 mp camera with a single sensor, but it is much improved this time with more stable images and more high-quality zoom.
The iPhone 8 is equipped with 5x digital zoom where as iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X are equipped with 10x optical; digital zoom.
In terms of Video recording, Apple claims that its new camera delivers “the highest quality video capture ever in a smart phone” with better video stabilization and 4K video up to 60fps.
The telephoto portrait lens on the iPhone X’s dual-camera has a slightly better aperture than the iPhone 8 Plus. (f/2.4 vs. f/2.8).
Apple has gone some steps ahead and announced its flagship feature which is “Animoji”.
This feature allows users to use front facing camera to make emojis say whatever they want them to say using facial recognition; COOL right?
Built and Design
iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will be coming in Silver, space gray, and new gold finish where as iPhone X will be released only in Silver, space gray.
Apple claims that this phone is Apple’s first all glass phone which has the most durable glass ever.
The iPhone 8 version has a 4.7-inch screen, while the iPhone 8 Plus has a 5.5-inch screen and a dual camera lens on the back.
On the other hand iPhone X which is visually, Apple’s most impressive and futuristic iPhone design ever will have a 5.8-inch edge-to-edge OLED screen on the front and with a stainless steel frame.
Apple has ditched the aluminum unibody design this time around and has integrated a glass and aluminum sandwich with just doesn’t only look fresh but also has opened the doors for wireless charging.
Apple has incorporated a Qi charging coil inside, so you’ll be able to use just about any wireless charging plate out there right now and get a top-up charge, without having to plug in a Lightning cable first.
If you do go for the wired charging option, expect fast charging for a 50% refuel in 30 minutes.
Ok, so there is no apparent change in the display of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, and you’ll be seeing the same screens that were in the previous generation.
Same 1334x750-pixel resolution at 326 ppi in iPhone 8 as it was in iPhone 7 and a 1920x1080-pixel resolution at 401 ppi that you saw in iPhone 7 plus.
But the iPhone Xs display is going to blow your mind with an HDR experience with 2436x1125-pixel resolution at 458 ppi it;s going to be a supersharp screen.
• iPhone 8 will have the price of INR 64,000 for 64GB variant and INR 77,000 for 256GB variant.
• iPhone 8 Plus will have the price of INR 89,000 for 64GB variant and INR 1,02,000 for 256GB variant.
